Devs Reassures the Callisto Protocol Is Not Delayed and Will Have 60 FPS Performance Support

The Callisto Protocol not delayed and is still set for a December 2, 2022 release.

Striking Distance Studios went to Twitter to assure their community that their upcoming survival horror game The Callisto Protocol will indeed have a 60fps performance support and reassures that the game will launch globally on December 2, 2022, suggesting no delay with just a few months away from launch.

The sudden tweet was a response to a typo from Epic Games Store’s Halloween discount offers as it mentions that The Callisto Protocol will launch on February 12, 2023, suggesting that the game has been delayed.

The tweet is to simply reassure that it was a mistake on Epic Games' part and that the survivor horror game is still on track to launch on December 2, 2022.

The tweet is also to join in on the current discussion online on games played on either 30fps or 60fps after Warner Bros Games recently revealed that their upcoming game Gotham Knights will run at 30fps at 4k resolution on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and that it will not feature a Performance or Quality graphics mode options at launch. The action RPG game is set to release this October 21.

With regards to the The Callisto Protocol, the game will feature a 60fps performance mode.

Based on the reactions of The Callisto Protocol’s tweet, people are ecstatic from the confirmation and has become yet another battleground to discuss the differences between a game running at 30fps or 60fps and  people’s preference or thoughts on either framerate.

The Callisto Protocol is being developed by ex-Dead Space developers and is set to launch on December 2, 2022 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
