Dead Cells' Fatal Falls DLC Coming January 26

Motion Twin announced that the next DLC for their rogue-like platformer Dead Cells will go live on January 26, 2021.

The DLC will cost $4.99 (~ PHP 239) and adds two new mid-game biomes, a new boss to overcome, and a variety of new weapons and items. The two new biomes are called Fractured Shrines and The Undying Shores, which was showcased in the trailer above.
To celebrate the release of the Fatal Falls DLC, Motion Twin announced that the game will be discounted starting January 26 until mid-February, giving new players a shot to get the game at a lower cost and to give returning players to pick up previous DLC content released previously.
Specific dates for the discount will vary depending on the platform of choice but based on the press release given, here is the breakdown of the discount prices from develop Motion Twin:
First-ever 50 percent-off the base game ($12.49 / €12.49) is a superwicked deal for fans interested in checking it out for the first time.
33 percent-off “Dead Cells: The Fatal Seed Bundle” ($19.99 / €19.99) for those looking to go all the way.
30 percent-off “The Bad Seed” downloadable content—never discounted before ($3.49 / €3.49).
Also, for those playing Dead Cells on consoles, the free Malaise update, which hit the PC version first at the end of last year, will go live in February.
Dead Cells is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, mobile, and PC via Steam.
So far, I’ve been loving my new console. It truly feels like a generational leap from the original Switch, even if its core concept remains the same. This may be simply an iterative, straightforward improvement over the original system, but I guess the thinking is that as the saying goes, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
