Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets Perks for July 26 - August 1, 2023

This week is Nicolas Case release week, but it also means Dead by Daylight’s Shrine of Secrets was reset as it now features the perks Appraisal, Up the Ante, Forced Hesitation, and Brutal Strength. We take a look at what’s offered to see if it’s worth your hard-earned shards.

Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets perks for July 26 - August 1, 2023

This section in the in-game store of Dead by Daylight allows players to unlock perks still unavailable for their account, or have not yet earned the highest tier.

Killer Perks

Brutal Strength (The Trapper) - Increase the speed of breaking pallets, damaging generators, and breakable walls by 10/15/20%.

This perk can only be triggered once every 80/70/60 seconds.

Forced Hesitation (The Singularity) - Whenever a survivor is put into the dying state by any means, all other survivors within 16 meters of them suffer from the hindered effect (20% movement speed reduction) for 10 seconds.

While the perk is active, your Terror Radius transfers to the Obsession for 20/25/30 seconds and its radius is set to 32 meters

You are then granted the undetectable status effect at the same time for the same duration.

Survivor Perks

Appraisal (Élodie Rakoto) - Start the trial with three tokens. When a chest has already been opened, consume a token to rummage through it for another item.

Rummaging through chests will be 40/60/80% faster with this perk.

Up the Ante (Ace Visconti) - For each Survivor still on the Trial, this perk gains 1 token. Each token applies a stackable 1/2/3% bonus to the Luck of all Survivors, up to a maximum of 3/6/9%.

With the perk activated, you have the option to successfully self-unhook yourself from a hook. This will cause a Broken status effect for 100/80/60 seconds after being unhooked by yourself.

Which perks are worth getting this week?

This week serves as a good opportunity for players to earn one of The Singularity’s Killer perk, in case you haven’t considered purchasing the Killer. Forced Hesitation is a rather solid perk that can punish survivors sticking too close to a chase. The Doctor, The Onryo, mostly M1 killers will get good value from this perk. To make it stronger, pair it with Infectious Fright so you can instantly make use of the Hindred effect.

For the second Killer perk, Brutal Strength still remains as a decent perk as it speeds up key actions like kicking generators or breaking pallets.

As for Survivors, Appraisal essentially gives your team more items to work with while Up the Ante is not a perk I recommend unless you really want to increase your chances of unhooking yourself as that’s the only think this perk will provide for your team.
