Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets perks for August 2 - August 8, 2023

This section in the in-game store of Dead by Daylight allows players to unlock perks still unavailable for their account, or have not yet earned the highest tier.

Killer Perks

Coup de Grâce (The Twins) - Whenever a Generator is completed, this perk gains 2 tokens, up to a maximum of 5 tokens.

Lunge attacks consume one token and increase the distance of the attack by 70/75/80%.

Knock Out (The Cannibal) - Placing Survivors in the dying state with your basic attack blocks their aura from being revealed to any other Survivor that’s farther than 32/24/16 meters away from them.

For the next 15 seconds, the dying Survivor will have the Blindness effect, a reduced crawling speed of -50%, and a reduced recovery speed of -25%.

Survivor Perks

Blood Pact (Cheryl Mason) - When you or the Obsession are injured, you both see each other’s aura.

After healing the Obsession or being healed by the Obsession, you both gain the haste effect, giving you both a 5/6/7% movement speed bonus until both Survivors are no longer within 16 meters of each other.

Quick & Quiet (Meg Thomas) - You barely make noise when you quickly vault over obstacles or enter lockers.

This perk affects vaulting windows, downed pallets, or rushing to enter a locker.

The perk has a cooldown of 30/25/20 seconds.

Which perks are worth getting this week?

This week is good for Killer players as either perk on offer can give you so much value in your matches. Coup de Grâce is a perfect tool for any basic attack killer as the extra distance this perk gives your lunge attacks will catch Survivors off guard. It was buffed recently as you get two tokens now instead of one, so you have more room for error during chases.

Knock Out is another great perk for those that want to keep Survivors down for added pressure and players will hate you for having it.

As for Survivors, you can never go wrong with Quick & Quiet. It’s one of the original perks of the game that has remained relevant to this day as using this perk at the right moment can make or break a chase.

Lastly, Blood Pact is best used for Survivors with proper coordination with a friend as getting value from this perk with a random player can be difficult, making this the least appealing perk on offer this week.

Alongside the reset of Shrine of Secrets, we are also given a tease of the next big horror franchise coming to Dead by Daylight and it’s none other than Alien.
