Capcom Reveals Street Fighter 6’s 18 Character Launch Roster

In case the massive information dump during Capcom’s Tokyo Game Show broadcast was not enough, they hosted yet another one livestream, revealing that the game will launch with 18 characters and revealed each one by showing the opening movie for their single player game mode World Tour.

The launch roster of Street Fighter 6 will be  Luke, Jamie, Manon, Kimberly Marisa, Lily, JP, Juri, Dee Jay, Cammy, Ryu, E. Honda, Blanka, Guile, Ken, Chun-Li, Zangief, and Dhalsim.

We’ve seen gameplay for Luke, Jamie, Kimberly, Juri, Ryu, Guile, and Chun-Li and just yesterday we got our first look at Ken, E. Honda, Blanka, and Dhalsim. The rest, have yet to be shown off by Capcom.

It’s a surprising choice but it seems like this is the company embracing the massive leak that occurred when we got our first good look at gameplay of Street Fighter 6 back in June. Based on what was officially revealed so far, the leak is pretty much spot on. But with Capcom confirming only 18 characters at launch, the other characters leaked could likely be post-launch DLC.

If you missed it, Capcom started Tokyo Game Show with a massive information dump revealing four characters, more details on World Tour, Battle Hub, and announcing the game’s first Closed Beta featuring eight playable characters.

Street Fighter 6 will launch sometime in 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
