Battlefield 6 Could Be Officially Revealed In May 2021
/ Carlos HernandezGamesBeat’s Jeff Grub seems to have a good idea as to when we will get our first look at the next Battlefield game from DICE and EA, presumably titled Battlefield 6. During one of his latest livestream, he states that we might see something this May.
Talks about the reveal occurred when a viewer ask as to when they can expect a Battlefield reveal. Grubb simply said “May”. He added that “They haven’t announced anything publicly yet. But my understanding is that they’re probably looking at May.”.
May seems like a good window for a reveal as it comes before the usual E3 conferences you’d expect around June. Let’s also not forget that Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V was officially revealed in May, so EA could follow the same schedule.
This is of course remains a rumor for now, so take it with a grain of salt, but Grubb is a known to be a one of the reliable sources in the industry, especially when it comes to publisher plans. There is currently no official announcement from either EA or DICE. Grubb has also stated in resetera that the new Battlefield game will be set in Modern day.
There’s a lot of rumblings with the new Battlefield game recently and things seem to be ramping up. A few weeks ago, in a Polygon interview, EA’s chef studio officer confirmed that developer Criterion, best know for their work on the Need for Speed series, has been reassigned to assist with the development of the new Battlefield title.
