Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Is Getting a New Free Game Mode This Summer

Ubisoft announced a rogue-lite game mode called Forgotten Saga for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, a free content drop coming to the game this Summer. It was announced during the 15th anniversary celebration for the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Forgotten Saga is a rogue-lite inspired mode where players visit this region of niflheim to face the forces of Loki’s daughter. This game mode will have its own progression system as you go through waves of procedurally generated content and get stronger after each attempt in this mode.

The rogue-lite game mode is just one of the year two content planned for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, as the game continues to receive free content support for the rest of the year in the form of festivals, an armory update, a second batch of Mastery Challenges, and new tombs to explore.

At the end of this year, Ubisoft plans to reveal Eivor’s last episode in his/her story as a free chapter for all players.

Assassin’s Creed Valahalla launched back in 2020 and since then received three expansion content, with the latest one called Dawn of Ragnarok, a major expansion that’s large enough to be its own game.
