A Final Fantasy XVI Demo Launches Tomorrow, June 12
Square Enix and Sony Interactive Entertainment have announced that a playable demo of Final Fantasy XVI will be available starting tomorrow, June 12 at exactly 4 AM ET.
The demo will be available for PlayStation 5 players and features the game’s opening prologue with approximately two and a half hours of content, highlighting protagonist Clive’s past to set up the character for the events that will occur in the game’s present day.
The best part is that your saved data in this demo will carry over to the main game when it launches next week.
Once you are done with the prologue you are thrown into a special battle demo that is roughly two-hours long, and it features an infiltration of a fort as present day Clive accompanied by his faithful wolf Torgal. This portion of the demo will not be saved though, just the prologue.
A new short trailer for the game was also released by Square Enix, which you can watch below.
Final Fantasy XVI is set to launch on PlayStation 5 on June 22.
Code Vein 2 delivers serviceable soulslike combat and flexible builds, but its bloated systems, uninspired open world, and inconsistent performance keep it from standing out in an already crowded genre. It definitely has ambition, but many of its ideas feel more like background noise than meaningful twists, leaving the sequel competent but ultimately forgettable.
