Epic Games Announced 3 New Games Within Fortnite - Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival

Epic Games announced three new games within their immensely popular online game Fortnite — Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival.

These feel more like game modes as different developers work on each of the games mentioned and will be accessible within Fortnite. The announcement of these new experiences went live during the game’s latest live event called The Big Bang where the original Fortnite map gets swallowed by a black hole (again) and birthed new galaxies within the world.

You can see the event and the full reveal of each game below.

These games are Epic Games’ continued efforts to make Fortnite not only a battle royale game but a game that has pretty much everything as all of the three games will be available this week.

Lego Fortnite is pretty much Fortnite survival game in the veins of Minecraft but…Lego, as Epic describes it as "the ultimate survival crafting LEGO adventure. It introduces vast, open worlds where the magic of LEGO building and Fortnite collide. Designed for people of all ages to enjoy together, the game will encourage creativity, experimentation, and collaboration through play.". It arrives on December 7 and will come with over 1,700 of Fortnite’sunique outfits having a Lego version available to those that own them.

Next is Rocket Racing, and is “a supersonic arcade racer where players drift, fly, and boost with friends through an ever-growing selection of tracks.". What’s interesting is this is being developed by the Psyonix, best known for Rocket League. The racing game goes live on December 8.

Lastly, we have a rhythm game called Fortnite Festival which is being developed by Rock Band developers Harmonix, and is described as a "new music game where players can play in a band with friends or perform solo on stage with hit music by their favourite artists,". This one goes live on December 9.

It’s commendable that Epic Games is evolving Fortnite to be an “everything” kind of game as with all the collaborations so far, it feels like a big toy box for all types of players young or older. I just didn’t think they would go this far into making Fortnite a big hub for multiple experiences, but here we are.

Epic Games didn’t stop there as Fortnite is still converting to a new season alongside all of this. Chapter 5 episode 1 called Underground is now live and features a new map, modified weapons, and unique activities such as hunting down Society bosses with in a match. This new episode also features new collaborations as Family Guy’s Peter and Metal Gear Solid’s Solid Snake make their debut on the game this season.
