The Scribblenauts 3rd Person Shooter

Remember that post I did before on blogspot about the 5th Cell, the Scribblenaut guys, working on a 3rd person shooter for Xbox Live Arcade? Well this past GDC they finally revealed what that game isand its called Hybrid.

From a glance it just looks like a regular 3rd person shooter with not so crisp graphics and such, here's the catch, there will be no free movement. Yes, you can't run around and shoot dudes like you would in any 3rd person shooter. Sound weird? I can't blame you. Now I said that there is no free movement but there is movement. It is essentially like a tactics game that you can only move from cover point to cover point. The player is given a button to retreat, buttons to move around in cover, and the ability to free aim while in cover or during transit. Players also have the ability to select different cover to run to while in transit. Throw in a small squad assist mechanic and online play and you have yourself a game just as unique and quirky as Scribblenauts was.

When I first heard that there will be no free movement I was dumbfounded with a huge "WTF" look on my face. Then I heard that movement is limited to cover points and suddenly a whole new ball game is set. Most people would say that i

Video games and their glitches......

And Marvel vs Capcom 3 sure does have a few. But this one in particular can pretty much ruin anybody's game.

Zero from the megaman series is the source of this glitch. He has a hyper combo that makes a clone of himself and copies any move the original Zero would do. So technically whatever you do with Zero will happen twice having like a small delay between the attacks. Theres also a thing called a snapback where you use one level bar to snap a character out of the screen switching to the next character. Little tactics to bring out those beaten characters that another player is trying to recover.

the Zero Glitch happens when you do a snapback with Zero's Super that i mentioned. If the original Zero's snapback misses and the clone's snapback hits, No character will return leaving the other player to lose from time out. Bummer, i know. Why does it need to be addressed? well because it could happen intentionally or accidentally during a fight. Watch and see the glitch in action.

Nintendo Interview: Strategy & Competition

"Admit it, it looks gorgeous."

IGN interviews the President of Nintendo America Reggie Fils-Aime about the video game market its recent growth. With the release of the 3DS just around the corner, Reggie tells us their strategy and approach with their upcoming new handheld.

I swear with the way he talks, he sounds like a motivation speaker and a very good one. I'd probably shell out for something like Nintendo Powerglove if he told me to.
