Epic games show off upgrades to Unreal Engine 3

The video below is a realtime tech demo called "Samaritan" revealed by Epic Games during the GDC 2011(Game Developers Conference). This is from no upcoming game whatsoever and is just created to demonstrate the latest enhancements to Unreal 3. The video pretty much gives you an idea of how the future of gaming will look like.

Unreal 3 has been around for a while now and has been powering some of our favorite games. Unreal 3 has powered games like: Batman: Arkham Asylum, Borderlands, Bulletstorm, Gears of War 2, Mass Effect 2, DC Universe Online and many more. Upcoming games like the new Batman: Arkham City, Bioshock Infinite, Gears of War 3, Mass Effect 3 and Mortal Combat will all be powered by the latest Unreal 3 Engine.

The improvements to the Unreal 3 engine just made the beast an even bigger beast giving developers more options to implement amazing graphics into their games. Again, this is video is in realtime, not CG.
