Weekend, what are you playing?

Midway through August already? Time sure flies when you're playing video games. So, what are YOU playing this weekend?

Migoy: Me and Arlie will be out with a few college friends for the weekend and won't be back until Monday but I got Phat's (my fat PSP) with me to kill idle time with Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai - Another Road on it as it's one of my 'kill time' games. Arlie went to one of our friend's house who just bought a copy of the new Mortal Kombat game so maybe they played a bit of that.

Quash:Had a huge Saturday. Joined Indestructible 2011,  pretty much our biggest fighting game tournament in the Philippines for Super Street Fighter 4 : Arcade Edition, Marvel vs Capcom 3, and Mortal Kombat with over 150+ players registered for all games. This event had players from different provinces to join Indestrucible 2011, so a big turnout indeed. While I was eliminated right away in Mortal Kombat(I suck), i was able to reach top 16 for both Street Fighter 4 and Marvel vs Capcom 3. Though i fell short, I'm pleased with making it that far. Had so much fun and met a lot of awesome players.

New Guild Wars 2 footage from Gamescom 2011

More new Guild Wars 2 footage and these videos makes you want to beg ArenaNet for a release date already. It's looking better and better which makes me think that it'll be the change we need in MMO's.

This is definitely going to be my next MMO, and it has no monthly fee which is perfect. I'll be playing Guild Wars 2 for a very long time I'm sure. It will most likely come out somewhere around 2012 since there are rumors of alpha and beta testing that will happen this year. When we hear about a public beta testing, thats a good indication that it's around 6 months away at least.

Guild Wars 2 Boss Fight: Tequatl the Sunless

Wondered what that amazing looking dragon is in the trailer?? well it's a boss fight that can have up to around 100 players participating in the fight. This fight has a lot of roles that splits the players into doing different tasks like controlling the turrets, taking down the bone walls and of course going head to head with the dragon itself. It's a very dynamic fight and I can't wait to see more of their boss fights in the game.

Whats funny is, the guy said that this is just one of the small dragons in Guild Wars 2. So they have bigger?? heck, this looks grand enough. But if they want to bring bigger, by all means.

Battlefield 3 Multiplayer Trailer......WITH JETS!

Gamescom 2011 gives us more videos to take in. Battlefield 3 makes an appearance revealing a new multiplayer trailer showing us how intense it can be throwing helicopters, explosions, tanks, and even jets into the mix. This is what Battlefield is all about.

FIRST BLOOD! DOTA 2 Trailer is Finally Here!

What does a hero truly need? The first official DOTA 2 Gamescom trailer is finally here. DOTA 2 is a stand-alone sequel to the popular Warcraft III: Frozen Throne custom map created by "IceFrog", Defense of the Ancients. DOTA 2 is developed by Valve Corporation and will be distributed through Steam. Watch the first official trailer below.

DOTA 2 will be making its public debut at GamesCom that will be held in Cologne, Germany on August 17. Team ASUS Mineski.Infinity will represent the Philippines to compete for the $1 Million prize at the International DOTA 2 Championships.

DOTA 2 will be released this year and will be available for PC and Mac OS X.

Let's hype up Batman Arkham City a bit more shall we? A new trailer for Batman Arkham City was released today showing the role of Mr. Freeze.
