Weekend, what are you playing?

frankie Weekend, weekend. Oh how I love the weekend. Especially if you got some new games to play.

Migoy: I FINALLY got a PS3, a little late to the party I know but better late than never. First game I got was Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 so I’m sure to be playing a buncha that. A friend of mine lent me his copies of GTA4, Legends of Wrestlemania, and Uncharted (the first one). I still got Professor Layton and the Last Specter on my DS that I need to spend more time on so I’ve got a pretty busy weekend ahead of me. It’s been a while.

Arlie: Guess what, I'm still playing Skyrim! I'm not even close to half of the main quests, didn't notice that most of the quests I did are the miscellaneous ones that are pretty much random and unlimited. I am already done with the Companions (Fighters Guild), College of Winterhold (Mage Guild), and Thieves Guild Quest lines. There's so much things left to do in Skyrim.

Quash: Still on Skyrim. Currently level 33 and still feels like I haven't touched even 50% of the game. It's an amazing game and could possibly be the best Elder Scrolls to date. I also did a bit of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and in the process of working out my main team. Zero is still my focus but damn I need a good assist for that guy.

A little late to the party - Migoy finally gets a PS3

KOS-MOS That's right folks. It finally happened. I now own a PS3. Funny thing, I bought it on the day of the PS3's launch that happened 5 years ago. Happy birthday PS3.

Meet Ziggy, yes I just named my PS3. Ziggy is a PS3 Slim with a 320 gigabyte hard drive in it. I got this bad boy at Mr. Dynamic which can be found at the 3rd floor of Greenhills Vira Mall for P13,400 cash price (14.300 credit price). It was a good choice to get the PS3 there as they were kind enough to test the system for me on the spot and update it to the latest firmware from Sony. Net has been janky all week at home so it's good that it got updated right then and there.

First game I got for Ziggy is Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. This one I got at Datablitz and they threw in a free poster which is proudly posted on my wall as I haven't had a video game poster, or any poster for that matter, for a long long time.

its a pain

Also got a $20 PSN card because Castlevania: Harmony of Despair was ported to PSN back in September and was something that I've been wanting since Symphony of the Night, a multiplayer 2D Castlevania game.

free poster is free

I wish I had more money to shell out for awesome games that have come out these past few months like Saints Row The Third, Batman Arkham City, Battlefield 3, etc. But hey, it's the holiday season, I might get lucky in the free video games department.

Next thing to save up for, an HDTV!

How good is your aim in Skyrim?

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Ok, been very busy lately so haven't been posting as much, and all the extra time I get goes to Skyrim. Thanks to that I'm currently 60+ hours in with now at least 3 holds explored(4 more to go). To celebrate me placing 60 hours into the game, let's take a look the best headshot you'll ever see in Skyrim.

Saw this yesterday and I've been trying to imitate it myself, so far no luck. You think you can beat this awesome headshot or at least do it yourself?

What's awesome is, he just did that amazing headshot to the most annoying character you'll experience in Skyrim too. A priest literally shouting his beliefs. There are more headshots but I believe this headshot is clearly the best one.

Gun Sounds - Battlefield 3 vs Modern Warfare 3

Gun sounds While looking around youtube, I came across a very interesting comparison video. While I consider both games entirely different, they do have a lot of guns in common.  Now the question is, which has the better gun sounds - Modern Warfare 3 or Battlefield 3?

I personally think Battlefield 3 wins hands down. The echo brought to each shot fired in BF3  shows the weight of the gun you're carrying. While inC Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, well let's just say the difference is huge. The BF3 test was tested on an open field, but when fired in a corridor or a closed space, the gunfire get's even louder and you can feel that the sounds of each shot bouncing off each wall.To put it clearly, the sound changes depending where you are. In Modern Warfare 3, I don't see a change regardless of where you are in the map.

Not sure if real gun nuts would think BF3's gun sounds are close to the real thing, but it sure does sound like it. What do you prefer? BF3's gun sounds or MW3's gun sounds?

Weekend, what are you playing?

 Skyrim - Dovahkiin aka Dragonborn

Some big games just came out this week and I'm sure most of you have at least one of the games I have in mind. So, what are you playing?

Arlie: Got a copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the PS3 since day one. I created a Female Redguard, 12 hours in-game and already absorbed 4 Dragon Souls and learned 3 Shouts. I was farming for gold to buy a new house when I accidentally sold all of my lockpicks, didn't notice it until I was picking a locked chest and already overwritten the last save.

Quash: I Think half the world is playing Skyrim right about now. Got my copy for the Xbox 360 on release day and have been playing it ever since. After getting my first manly Dragon born shout, I've ignored the main quest for now and is currently doing all the side quests I can find in Whiterun. Funny thing is, I'm already 10+ hours in and still on the first town. I've raided bandit hidouts, cleared dungeons,  bought a house, and watched my trusty horse give the final blow on my 3rd Dragon kill(Horses do damage apparently).

Man I miss playing an Elder Scrolls game.I laugh every time I see the map; can't believe how huge this game is.  It's an awesome game, just go get it(better in PC), you won't regret it. Now I'll continue playing, there's still a lot of iron ores to be mined and flowers to be picked.
