Anadolu Sigorta, not too long ago, released a new car insurance commercial. A guy is being interviewed by a woman when suddenly you hear a very familiar "Hadouken!" off in the distance. You know what happens next. Dammit, Ryu.
Capcom's Cross Assault is a reality based on their latest fighting game Street Fighter x Tekken. Two teams consisting of 5 member each with one team representing Street Fighter and the other representing Tekken will go head on competing for the grand prize of $25,000.
As of this post the streams have just started on three channels. Capcom Unity will be the main channel for during events and whatnot, TeamSp00ky will be streaming the side of team Street Fighter and iPlayWinner for team Tekken.
Each team has their own respective coach, Street Fighter veteran Alex Valle will be coaching for the Street Fighter side and for the Tekken side we got the heavy metal Santa Claus, Kayo Police's husband to be, Aris Bakhtanians from AvoidingthePuddle.
The show will be airing live on the streams from February 22, 2012 to February 28, 2012. Which side will you be rooting for? team Street Fighter or team Tekken?
Street Fighter x Tekken comes out in North America on March 6th and if you aren't already hyped for the game then this is the perfect show to boost that hype meter to its max!
All 3 stream are also viewable on IGN along with the daily schedule of events at http://crossassault.ign.com/.
The roster just keeps on growing. Here's a new trailer showing off even more characters that will be included in this fighting game crossover. Some of the characters in this trailer were already teased and revealed but we get to see proper gameplay foootage for each of em.
So we got Rufus and Zangief as the first team to be featured. When Street Fighter IV and Tekken 6 came out, each fighting game had their own corpulent character added to their roster and now we'll get to see them face off to prove which of them is fatter~ I mean better.
Next up we have the schoolgirl rivals from Tekken, Lily and Asuka. Is it just me or does Asuka look a little sluttier than usual. Capcom, oh you.
After that we got Barlog and Vega (M. Bison and Balrog respectively for you Japanese Stree Fighter name purists out there). Similar to the case of Rufus and Bob for king of the fatties, the infamous dirty boxer from Street Fighter gets a chance to face off against the sly Steve Fox.
I'm sure all of you have been waiting for this. Paul and Law finally get revealed! No game with the Tekken name would be right without these two awesome goofballs in it.
Last but not least, the trailer features, my newest favorite Street Fighter character, Juri facing off against Xiaoyu.
I noticed with the character art that a dark version with glowing red eyes were behind each of the teams that were revealed, probably for the Pandora system that the game has. Also, notice during the Balrog/Vega segment that they were beating on Raven from Tekken? I wonder when he gets his own reveal.
The video ends with short gameplay footage of a version Street Fighter x Tekken being developed for the PlayStation Vita and had 2 unique characters named Toro and Kuro. Cats with Ryu style bandanas. I only recognize them from forum emoticons but don't really know where they originally came from. That's good fan service I guess. After that, we see silhouettes of two characters, one of which is obviously Pac-Man while a familiar 8-bit tune rings in the background.
The evil mastermind behind Shadaloo and the Chinese girl who speaks fluent Japanese are going to be in the Capcom Namco crossover fighting game, Street Fighter x Tekken.
I saw this screenshot on my Facebook timeline from Gametrailers.com's Facebook page. Funny Bison and Xiaoyu aren't even the characters on screen, instead we got Dr. Wily~ I mean old man Heihachi giving Dhalsim a huge elbow to the face. Dhalsim looks to be in a lot of pain.
Above the life bar HUD you can see the character icons. We got Xiaoyu with Heihachi and M. Bison with Dhalsim in a standard Tekken vs Street Fighter round.

After half a year since it was teased at the end of the E3 2011 trailer, Asuka Kazama finally gets revealed for the roster of Street Fighter x Tekken.
Now it's just a cinematic trailer with Chun-Li and Cammy fighting Asuka and Lily. Fan service is present in this cross-over catfight. Capcom has slowed down with these trailers, I hope they start releasing more character reveals soon if there are any left.
