New Marvel Game Announced, Featuring Black Panther and Captain America During World War II

The studio Skydance New Media officially unveiled their upcoming Marvel game during the D23 Expo which features a young Captain America (Steve Rogers) and Black Panther (Azzuri) teaming up with two other individuals during World War II.

The title of the game has yet to be revealed but we officially get an idea what Amy Hennig of Uncharted fame has been working on together with her team at Skydance New Media as president of the studio. The game revolves around a team set in World War II composed of young Captain America, T’Challa’s grandfather Azzuri as that era’s Black Panther, a U.S. Howling Commandos member named Gabriel Jones, and a Wakanda Spy Network leader by the name of Nanali. And from the looks of the trailer, it’s likely they are going against the forces of Hydra.

Here’s a quick overview provided by Skydance New Media:

“Skydance New Media and Marvel Entertainment’s upcoming narrative-driven, ensemble adventure game set in the Marvel Universe, which marks the first initiative from the new AAA game studio, features an original story that will take players on a World War II-era adventure with four playable heroes at different points in the story”

“We’re so grateful for all the enthusiasm and support we’ve received from fans, and we’re thrilled to finally unveil a first glimpse of the game during this year’s D23 Expo,” said Skydance New Media president Amy Hennig in a press release. “Marvel has been an incredible partner throughout the creative process as we develop an original story and build an exciting new team of characters. We hope fans are intrigued by this sneak peek, and we’re excited to share more down the road.”

This is just one of the many projects planned in Skydance New Media as the studio is also currently working on a new narrative-driven Star Wars game but has yet to be unveiled.

No details were mentioned beyond this about the new Marvel game with no platform or release window mentioned.
