Check out the first 5 minutes of BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea

BioShock-Infinite-Burial-at-Sea-Unaffected-by-Irrational-Games-Layoffs-380803-2 Irrational Games released the first 5 minutes of BioShock Infinite's two-part story DLC. It's called Burial at Sea, and you revisit a very memorable place.  WARNING: A bit of spoilers if you haven't touched the original game.

I'm pretty excited about this. Mainly because we get to experience Rapture in its prime, before everything went to hell. You control Booker Dewitt yet again, but this time you get hired by Elizabeth to find a girl named Sally.  Interesting stuff, hopefully Irrational Games won't take a long time in developing it.

Burial at Sea is broken into two episodes; you playing as Booker Dewitt for the first episode, then for the first time control Elizabeth for the last episode. No release date was given so far, but it's planned to hit this year.

NetherRealm expands the Injustice roster with Zatanna

InjusticeZatannaDLC-ss01 NetherRealm Studios just announced yet another character joining the Injustice: Gods Among Us roster - Zatanna. Gameplay trailer shows Zatanna showing what she's capable of against Grundy...poor Grundy.

Excited to take the magic wielder to the labs? Well, you don't have to wait too long. Zatanna will cost $4.99 and will be available for download starting next week, August 13, for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

NetherRealm is one busy studio, releasing DLC charcters left and right. Just last month, they revealed Martian Manhunter during EVO 2013. Hopefully we see more support like this to last the whole year because Injustice is a surprisingly a solid fighting game that would keep both fighting gamers and DC fans happy.

You can check out Miggy's thoughts on the game in his Injustice video review here.

BioShock Infinite DLC brings us back to Rapture

  BioShockInfinite_burialatsee_DLC_ss-01

Irrational Games has finally revealed Bioshock Infinite's DLC. A bit late, but better late than never. Two DLC's were announced; Clash in the Clouds, and Burial at Sea story-driven DLC bringing us back underwater city Rapture.

Burial at Sea revolves around Booker and Elizabeth once again, but with a different story. The connection between the original and this story is unknown, but I'm guessing that's part of the fun and appeal to the DLC. It's a two-part story content with Burial at Sea being the first part planned for a release sometime in fall(around September). Have a look at the trailer below.

The combination of Infinite's characters in the world of Rapture makes me want to do a complete marathon of the series. The connection between the original story and the DLC content is still unknown, but knowing the people in Irrational Games, they are keeping that secret as the treat for having the added content.

The next DLC announced is simple. A challenge mode that lets you go against waves of enemies, with certain objectives to accomplish, as well as four maps to play this new mode. The usual is added, achievements, leaderboards, and extra unlocks for the game. Have a look at the trailer below.

Clash in the Clouds gets released on July 30, or sometime tomorrow.

Burial at Sea and Clash in the Clouds are both included in the Season Pass of the game.

What do you think of the DLC? Worth the long wait?

Borderlands 2 getting more DLC, Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 on the way

BL2_DLC3-ss01 Thought Gearbox Software is done with the whole adding DLC support to Borderlands 2? Think again. Randy Pitchford today at PAX Australia just announced a good amount of DLC news planned for release in the coming months. One in particular, the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2, will increase the level cap by 11, making the max level to 72.

The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 will cost $5 on release, and no this is not included in the season pass. The pack will not only add more levels for you to grind, you will also get the "Digistruct Peak Challenge", which puts the vault hunters, with the help of Professor Tannis, to train future Crimson Raiders after the events of the main story. Also, you'll get the ability to tweak your game difficulty if you want a challenge.

During the announcement, Randy Pitchford also mentioned more DLC is planned. There will be these packs called "Headhunter Packs", and the first one mentioned was "T.K. Baha's Bloody Harvest". There's not much detailed infomation about these packs, but they are planning to release three of these Headhunter Packs. No word on how much these will cost when they get released.

They also talked about freebie content updates. Like, extra bank slots, extra inventory slots and ammo capacity. All are expected to arrive before Halloween.

This bit of news had the perfect timing. I just got Borderlands 2 together with it's season pass and I just can't let go of the controller. It's quite a surprise to see the developers still hard at work in producing more content for a game that will soon hit it's one year mark. You rarely see that kind of support, but Borderlands is Gearbox Software's baby after all, their pride and joy. Well, I'm excited. Time to get back on my Gunzerker and just go crazy in Pandora.

Lobo joins Injustice: Gods Among Us crew this May 7

injustice_gods_among_us_lobo NetherRealm's latest fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us gets its first character DLC, and it's going to be Lobo, the  alien bounty hunter/mercenary from space. A new video was released showing Lobo matched up against The Batman himself.

Lobo will be available on May 7, but no word yet on how much it will cost.

I've had the opportunity to play Injustice and learn a few characters, and  I like how it feels. The combo system feels easy to grasp for any level of player, and it's just fun all around even with just the AI. Just the right amount of characters to choose from, and the dynamic iand transitional stages are the true highlight of the game, that and Doomsday's super(you have to see it).

Injustice: Gods Among Us is out now, even the Wii U version should be available.
