Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance Trailer (12-20-2011) [Update: 8 minute full trailer]

freaking Rinzler Now the 3DS is no where near my "want" list but I can't help but get excited when SquareEnix puts out a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.

So we got the main cast of characters from The World Ends With You with voice acting, Sora and Riku get new duds, Disney worlds some new and some old, Terranort, old man Spock~ I man Xehanort, Axel saying his real name, and mother freaking RINZLER from Tron Legacy.

I am sold on the content and presentation, if the story is bogus.. well that just comes with the KH territory. All that's left is actual gameplay. If it impresses then I might MIGHT just get a 3DS. Maybe.

Final Fantasy Type-0 localization is in the works

aaaagito Finally! Final Fantasy Type-0, the latest Final Fantasy game to hit the PSP, may soon see a release out of Japan.

The Final Fantasy Type-0 Ultimania Guide just hit retail today and contains an interview with Type-0 direction Hajime Tataba and he mentions that the development team is working on an overseas version of the game.

This is great but not surpising news as Final Fantasy is still a pretty big name and would be a perfect final game for Sony's aging handheld. I've tried the Japanese demo of the game is it seems pretty solid. Hopefully this game gets a release date before or shortly after the PSVita's release set for February 22 early next year.

Square Enix to release a chiptune album

Square Enix will be releasing an album of chiptune songs that will rock your 8-bit eardrums.

SQ Chips will have tracks from the likes of Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Unlimited SaGa, the Mana series, even Brave Fencer Musashi, and more! Each of these tunes is run through the retro filter and spit out as 8-bit chiptunes.

SQ Chips will drop on September 7 for the price of 1890 yen ($23.50).

Chrono Trigger is on Virtual Console

So Chrono Trigger is on Virtual Console. And that is freaking awesome! From Dtoid:

This week's digital releases for Nintendo platforms are headlined by the classic Super Nintendo RPG Chrono Trigger (800 points). Its inclusion on Virtual Console was actually notable enough to warrant individual blog posts prior to today, something you rarely see any more.

And then there's the rest. Sorry, everyone who isn't Square Enix. DSiWare gets some fishing action with Big Bass Arcade (500 points), more word-search puzzles with Word Searcher 3 (500 points), and a coloring book of all things with Hellokids – Vol. 1: Coloring and Painting (200 points).

The terrible twosome on WiiWare this week is Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove: Monster Mix (500 points), a dancing game, and the demo for Lead the Meerkats. I had no idea that meerkat sims were a thing now.
