Lost Planet 3 gets a new trailer, also a release date

lost-planet-3-8 Lost Planet 3 shows itself yet again with a new trailer finally announcing a release date. It's coming on June 25 in NA and June 28 in Europe for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Check the trailer below.

I'm not too sure about this game at this point. With a fairly unknown developer called Spark Unlimited working on this game instead of Capcom, I have a feeling that it will come out as a generic third person shooter. So far, nothing appealing has popped up. It's obviously more story-driven this time around compared to the second game, but that's about it. It'll be sad if it turns out to be just as bad as the second, because the first game had a lot of potential thanks to the game's setting.

Lost Planet 3 gameplay seen on Capcom Germany

Lost Planet 3 Capcom Germany revealed first gameplay footage of Lost Planet 3. Its 4-minutes long and it's not looking like Lost Planet at all. Aside from the frozen world and aliens with glowing weak points, you have a game that feels more like Dead Space mixed with some Gears of War. The reveal trailer did show some promise. Hopefully they are hiding something to get us all excited for the third installment. But for now, I'm a bit worried on how this will turn out.

Take note that Lost Planet 3 isn't being developed in Capcom. Spark's Unlimited is working on it and is definitely giving the game a whole different feel. Not impressed one bit.

Lost Planet 3 might be released early 2013 for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Lost Planet 3 revealed at Captivate 2012

Lost Planet 3 Quite surprised with this announcement at Capcom's Captivate 2012. A third game in the Lost Planet series? What's even worse is that it's not really Capcom working on the third game. Sparks Unlimited is the name of Lost Planet 3's developer and their latest(and only) games in their belt is Legendary and Turning Point which aren't good games to begin with from what I remember. Anyways feast your eyes at this cinematic trailer.

Not that much information about this game aside from the early 2013 release date and that Sparks Unlimited is in charge of this title. It seems like Capcom likes sending their franchises over to other devs nowadays. They have sent Devil May Cry to Ninja Theory's way and even gave a Resident Evil title to Six Slant Games.

Excited about this title? I lost faith thanks to Lost Planet 2, but it all depends if it gives the third title a whole different feel.
