Phineas and Ferb across the 2nd Dimension - Timed Trials Episode 2

phineas and ferb Episode 2 of Timed Trials! This time we look at Phineas and Ferb Across the 2nd Dimension. Jiks is player 1 and Migoy is player 2. I believe the story of this game is based on the Phineas and Ferb movie which has the characters jumping from dimension to dimension.

No commentary on this one because something happened to our audio recording.

You can check out the first episode of Timed Trials here: SSX – Timed Trials

Star Wars franchise stays alive, EA signs multi-year publishing deal with Disney

Star Wars Logo LucasArts may be dead, but thankfully, EA has stepped up and signed a deal with Disney to develop and publish Star Wars games. As much as we have a love/hate relationship with EA, they are the right company for the franchise...no, really.

John Pleasant, Disney Interactive’s Co-President issued the following statement:

“This agreement demonstrates our commitment to creating quality game experiences that drive the popularity of the Star Wars franchise for years to come. Collaborating with one of the world’s premier game developers will allow us to bring an amazing portfolio of new Star Wars titles to our fans around the world.”

Now EA gets rights to do publishing and developing of Star Wars games, but when it comes to mobile, social, and online games, Disney will retain the rights to developing those types of Star Wars games.

This is actually good news since EA has studios like Bioware(KOTOR, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Mass Effect), Visceral Games (Dead Space franchise), and DICE (Battlefield 3) as possible developers for future Star Wars games. This franchise just seems to fit well with EA, but hopefully they don't "DMR" use and make everybody hate them all over again. For now, I'm happy.

Like the new deal made? Or do you prefer another company to get the rights?

Disney closes LucasArts division, Star Wars 1313 now halted

E3-13With Disney now owning everything Star Wars when aquiring LucasArts and LucasFilm for Billions of dollars, the third person shooter Star Wars 1313 has his development halted when Disney announced the closing of LucasArts. An end of an era, and a missed opportunity with 1313. Kotaku was informed from a source this afternoon that the chances of Lucas licensing out 1313 are very slim. The odds are "effectively zero," the source said.

“After evaluating our position in the games market, we’ve decided to shift LucasArts from an internal development to a licensing model, minimizing the company’s risk while achieving a broader portfolio of quality Star Wars games," LucasArts parent company LucasFilm said in a statement. "As a result of this change, we’ve had layoffs across the organization. We are incredibly appreciative and proud of the talented teams who have been developing our new titles.”

With the studio no more, Star Wars 1313 is pretty much officially cancelled. The third-person shooter that mad its debut in last year's E3 wowed many including myself seeing the Star Wars license in a different light. I loved the idea of having a third-person shooter in the Star Wars universe, but I guess that concept will be forever buried.

DuckTales Remastered

DuckTales_Remastered 01 My nostalgia has been hit so hard. Not only was DuckTales a kickass series but it also had a pretty kickass NES game, back when Capcom was awesome. Now we have this, with the opening theme of the cartoon with sing-a-long lyrics playing through out the whole trailer.

DuckTales_Remastered 02

DuckTales Remastered is coming to PSN, Xbox Live and the Wii U eShop.

Wreck-It Ralph - Official Trailer

Oh wow, just wow. If you love videogames or even just like em a tiny bit  then you are so going to dig this movie trailer.

An 8-bit videogame bad guy gets tired of the same old routine of losing. To shed his bad-guy image, he escapes his game to enter a new one and maybe turnover a new leaf in his virtual life. It's amazing how many legit videogame cameos appear in this trailer alone and that was enough to get me excited. Plus the voice cast contains some stellar actors such as John C. Reilly and Jane Lynch.
