Mega Man Star Force Battle DX Action Figure

http://2muchgaming.com/ Dug out one of my old action figures as I was going through some stuff. Did a google search of the name and apparently it's called the Mega Man Star Force Battle DX Action Figure by Takara Tomy.

Otherwise known as Ryuusei no Rockman in Japan, it was my least favorite of the current existing Mega Man / Rockman series. But that doesn't mean I don't appreciate a good action figure of the Blue Bomber. Unfortunately it's missing a few points of articulation that would make it a great toy.

The limited shoulder articulation is a shame. The range does not widen even when the shoulder armor is removed. Bicep cuts or an elbow twist would have helped make up for it but alas, those too are missing. No waist or torso joint is painful for those looking for dynamic poses and the lack of thigh cuts irks me even more given how limited the hip joints are.

While not great for collectors, this figure has pretty decent play value that you don't really see in toys nowadays. The buster arm that's made up of Warrock's / Omega-Xis' face has a spring in that allows you to shoot one of the three bullets that it comes with. What's a missile launcher without targets to shoot? Well the back card of this figure comes with three cutouts of viruses that you find in the game as well as mini figure of the sword virus included as one of the accessories. The last bit of accessory is a sword arm that you can plug into Mega Man's left arm. You simply pull out the buster and the sword plugs right into the peg.

We don't get enough good Mega Man figures and the ones we did get outside of Japan are few and far between. I wish we got more Battle Network toys instead.

Pokemon Black and White 2 Animated Trailer

legendary doofymons If you've played the first Pokemon Black/White then you'd recognize some of the characters in this trailer. From the looks of this it really does seem like a direct sequel.

The kiddies from the previous game have grown up a bit and are battling a new group of foes. I don't understand Japanese plus I haven't finished the previous game either so I don't really know what the hell is going on so forgive my ignorance when it comes to Pokemon lore. A first direct sequel to a Pokemon game is cool and all but after seeing this trailer I gotta to say that I'd rather just have be a full length animated movie instead of a game. Though the best scenario would be to release the games AND make a full length movie with the same quality animation as seen in the video below.

Pokemon Black & White 2 Japan trailer

The first trailer for the next Pokemon game surfaces. This is the first sequel to a Pokemon but to me I have a feeling they ran out of colors or gems to name they're games. Sadly I don't speak Japanese and I have a feeling you guys don't too, but we get a glimpse of the sequels gameplay and well it looks pretty much the same to me.

Nintendo has already announced that Pokemon Black and White 2 will be hitting North America by Fall 2012 so an english port is definitely in development. Japan of course get's first dibs on the game on June 23 for the Nintendo DS.

My biggest question since the game's existence is - Why is this a Nintendo DS game? Why not 3DS? I think everybody can agree that Nintendo needs to increase the number of games heading to they're latest handheld device since most of the big titles are already out. After the release of Kid Icarus: Uprising, I don't see much incentive to buy a 3DS.

Pokemon Black and White 2 coming to Nintendo DS

Pokemon Black and White 2 Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 has been announced, and is the first Pokemon game with a number on it. What's even weird about this new title is that it's for the Nintendo DS, not the 3DS. It was announced during a tv show in Japan called Pokemon Smash and revealed the sequel will hit Japan on June.

For the people that have a 3DS, you can still play the game but only in 2D. Have no idea why they didn't bother making it a 3DS title, maybe more Pokemon players have a DS? your guess is good as mine.

In terms of what is included in the sequel is still unknown. The reveal happened a few days ago so expect more news to hit the web in the next few weeks.

A US version of Pokemon White and Black 2 is confirmed to be released during this year. No exact date yet.

Professor Layton and the Last Specter IN ENGLISH!

layton4 The non-3D DS ain't dead yet folks. After what seems like forever, for me anyways, we finally get an english trailer for the 4th installment in the Professor Layton series with Professor Layton and the Last Specter.

I hope that once this game is released that Nintendo officially declared the end of the DS since there is still a 5th Professor Layton game that still needs to be localized.

Oh, if you're wondering about the release date of this game. It's on October 17, 2011. Yaaaay!
