Diablo IV’s first season is fast approaching and it looks like new players to the series and ARPG as a whole is just now realizing that they will have to create a new character to play season 1’s content and progress through its battle pass.

I was worried about the series shedding more of its JRPG roots when this title was first introduced, as recent entries have been straying away from more traditional forms for years. But my fears faded in the first five chapters of FFXIV; the essence of what makes Final Fantasy so great shines brightly here, and as such, this is one of my favorite high fantasy adventures this generation.

Steam’s Next Fest, a week-long celebration of upcoming games featuring hundreds of playable demos, will feature a new demo for the upcoming story-driven game The Invincible as it takes later in the campaign where you get to explore the planet Regis III with a land vehicle.

During Blizzard’s first Diablo IV Campfire Chat livestream after launch, the developers addressed a few issues the community has brought up. One of the topics they discussed is Nightmare Dungeons as they are soon planning to improve it by improving the experience gained through these activities.

During the Capcom Games Showcase, we get a little bit more information about Dragon’s Dogma 2. It isn’t much, but it’s enough to excite fans of the series as it seems like Capcom is simply sticking to the game’s strengths and simply improving with what they’ve already established.

Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed the games coming to PlayStation Plus Game and Classics Catalog for June 2023. This is also a celebration since the service started offering its tiered plans.

Blizzard announced that their upcoming story missions going live in Season 6 will be paywalled as you’ll need to buy a $15 bundle to get access to these new missions. They also detailed the new game modes coming to the game in season 6 such as a new co-op mode and a PvP mode called Flashpoint.

During the Xbox Showcase, Sega revealed a new teaser for Yakuza 8, which is now officially called Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, an RPG featuring Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu both being the protagonists of the game.

Nexon announced that they will be hosting a crossplay beta test for their free-to-play third-person co-op RPG shooter The First Descendant across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC from August 22 to August 28. To join the upcoming beta test, it’s a rather simple process.
