The Foglands on PS5 Will Not Require PS VR 2’s Headset To Play
The roguelike first-person shooter The Foglands is releasing on PlayStation 5 with PS VR 2 support on October 31 alongside it’s release on PC with Quest 2 support. Developer Well Told Entertainment announced that the game will launch with an FPS mode, making the VR headset not required to play the game with this mode.
The FPS mode is a nice touch as players can swap between VR and FPS mode depending on how they are feeling after long sessions.
In The Foglands, you play as Jim, a new Runner that is tasked to go out and scavenged goods while fending off creatures of the fog. With the help with an individual called The Stranger and his eldritch deck of cards, players can earn supernatural abilities as they go through each run.
Players will have to collect various items such as Scrap and Fog Oil to unlock new gear upgrades, items, and even unlock new parts of the game. With it being a rogue-like, players that die in a run will drop all of the resources they’ve collected in the run. The Foglands’ combat will be a mix of melee and shoot-em-up using the PS VR 2 controllers or the Quest 2 controllers on PC.
The Foglands was announced roughly 7 months ago for VR and is developer Well Told Entertainment’s third game.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is a technical wonder on Nintendo Switch 2. It single-handedly raised the bar on what I thought could be possible on the system, delivering a beautifully realized, engaging, and lengthy quest in the most accessible format yet without sacrificing much on the presentation side.
