Tekken 8 Opening Movie Released, First DLC Character Is Eddy Gordo
/Bandai Namco has released the opening movie for their upcoming fighting game Tekken 8 in preparation for its release on January 26, 2024.
The trailer above also gave us our first look at the first post-launch DLC character Eddy Gordo, his new look, some gameplay footage, and behind-the-scenes of the developers doing motion capture for the character’s Capoeira moves. He’s expected to launch this Spring.
Season 1 for Tekken 8 will feature four new characters with Eddy out in Spring, the second DLC this Summer, the third in Autumn, then lastly the fourth in Winter. Tekken 8 will launch with a roster of 32 characters.
If you haven’t, you can still try out the game for free as Bandai Namco released a demo of Tekken 8 giving players access to four characters and get a glimpse of the game’s story mode.
Tekken 8 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam.
