Bandai Namco reveals Tekken 8 Season 3 DLC plans, confirming Kunimitsu, Bob, and Roger Jr., with a fourth character and new stage coming later.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has released a new trailer for Tekken 8 showing off the contents of the game’s first season, showcasing upcoming free features such as Photo Mode, a new chapter in the game’s main story, Online Practice mode, Ghost vs Ghost, and revealing second DLC character - Lidia.

Tekken 8 launches with a complete package for both the casual and competitive. It felt like nothing was neglected here as everything you’d wish or expect from a high-quality fighting game is added, with new additions that don’t feel like a step down, but a leap forward. I can’t see how Bandai Namco Studios and Arika could have done this any better, as Tekken 8 hit the ground running as the definitive fighting game experience.

Bandai Namco has released the opening movie for their upcoming fighting game Tekken 8 in preparation for its release on January 26, 2024. The trailer showing the opening movie also announced the game’s first post-launch DLC character Eddy Gordo in their planned Season 1 content for the game.

Bandai Namco Entertainment released a new Tekken 8 trailer revealing four new playable characters — Panda, Zafina, Lee, Alisa, and Devil Jin. The reveal now puts the launch roster to 30 confirmed characters.

Bandai Namco Entertainment is hosting a Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test this October for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (through Steam). This beta test will feature six stages, 19 playable characters, and multiple game modes. Testers from the Closed Network Test will instantly have access to this next test.

Evo 2023, the biggest event that hosts premier fighting game tournaments for the top titles in the genre,e has concluded and during the weekend various studios took the opportunity to show new content for their upcoming fighting game titles.

The Tekken 8 Closed Network Test is over after two weekend sessions to try the game’s online connectivity and crossplay. It was also the perfect opportunity for players to try out the game Bandai Namco has been working on. I’ve been fortunate enough to participate in both sessions and I learned a few things about a game I haven’t actively played in a long time.

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that they will be hosting a Closed Network Test for their upcoming fighting game Tekken 8 on July 21. Players interested in checking out the latest entry in the Tekken series can register now in the hopes of getting in.

While it’s not officially confirmed that the upcoming fighting game Tekken 8 will offer crossplay between consoles and PC, game director Katsuhiro Karada confirmed that they are working to make it happen. 

Bandai Namco released a detailed 36-minute video explaining Tekken 8’s gameplay mechanics as there’s a new Rage system, a Recovery gauge to think about, and a Heat system that opens new opportunities for attacks and advantages. Bandai also announced Nina Williams, releasing a new video showcasing her in action. 

PlayStation started their online broadcast State of Play with our first look at Tekken 8 gameplay with Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima duking it out in the rain surrounded by tornados.
