Even in its current state, Path of Exile 2 overshadows much of the available ARPGs in the market today both in terms of quality and replayability. It sets a precedent, proving that the ARPG genre can still be improved. Grinding Gear Games are the tip of the spear that’s taking the ARPG genre into a new age of gaming.

Path of Exile is one of the biggest ARPGs around and its sequel, Path of Exile 2, just hit early access. We played a good chunk of the game before early access went live, so is the early access really worth paying $30 for?

Path of Exile 2 is the most anticipated action RPG this year as it’s finally entering early access, giving those who purchased a Supporter Pack access to the free-to-play game before it “officially” goes live. Here’s the breakdown of the different packs made available by developer Grinding Gear Games and what is available during the game’s early access period.

Grinding Gear Games revealed the 3.25 update of their ever-popular action RPG Path of Exile. Titled Settlers of Kalguur, the July expansion contains various balance improvements set to shape up the meta and add new content when the expansion goes live on July 27. They also announced that a closed beta for Path of Exile 2 is happening “soon”.

Path of Exile’s Echoes of the Atlas expansion is going live on January 15, 2021 and just like previous expansions, it comes with a variety of new game mechanics that further expands the free action RPG even further.

Path of Exile isn’t visually stunning, and the in-depth character building can be intimating to new players, but this is one of the best action RPGs available today, and it’s free.

Path of Exile’s 3.5.0 expansion will also be available for PS4 players this December.
