Sony Announces New Beta Program for Future PlayStation Titles and Features
/Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a new beta program that allows interested players to try out betas for future PlayStation titles. This program covers upcoming games on PS5 and PC, as well as new PS5 console features, PlayStation app features, and even updates to the PlayStation.com website.
Once approved, participants will be invited to each beta and can choose which tests they want to opt into when they become available. It’s also worth noting that registering is not a guarantee to get in as it’s likely they have limited slots and you’ll be gunning with other players willing to get in, so good luck.
How to Be Eligible for the PlayStation Beta Program
Here are the requirements:
Players must have a valid PlayStation Network account in good standing with a current email address. Accounts with restrictions or violations may not be eligible.
Players must reside in a region where the PlayStation Beta Program is available.
Players must meet the legal age requirement for their region.
Registration is free for anyone who meets these requirements. Sony has stated that the registration page is going live globally today. If the page appears unavailable, check back in a few hours, as it may not be up yet—or you might be in a region where the program isn’t supported. Unfortunately, I’m likely in one of those regions, as the Philippines and other countries still lack full PSN support.
To this day, some PlayStation titles on Steam remain region-locked to specific countries like the Philippines, ever since PSN was made a requirement for their PC titles—a restriction that was only removed earlier this year.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach delivers higher visual fidelity, consistent performance across the board, and a few new tricks that make gameplay more accessible, challenging, and fun. If you have the patience and come in with an open mind, you’ll be in an exclusive group of people who will struggle to describe this experience to anyone else.
