Sims 4 Going Free To Play Starting October 18

EA and developer Maxis Announced that the base game of Sims 4, which was released back in 2013, is going free-to-play starting October 18 and can be downloaded on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via the Origin or EA app. 

The team supporting Sims 4 moving forward will be developing new packs, kits, and do Sims Delivery Express drops in the future. More details about the free-to-play version of the game will be available during a livestream event called Behind The Sims Summit  October 18 at 10 AM PDT. 

Anybody who has purchased the game by October 17 will receive the Desert Luxe Kit, which contains new furniture items to be added in your catalog of choices for your Sims’ homes.  For EA Play and EA Play Pro members, subscribers will receive exclusive bundles. EA Play members will receive the Get To Work Expansion Pack while EA Play Pro members Get To Work Expansion Pack plus the Toddler Stuff Pack. 

Sims 4 is currently priced at $19.99 but is also available for free if you have an EA Play subscription on PC, PlayStation, or Xbox. If you’re subscribed to PC Game Pass you have instant access to EA Play’s catalog of games, including Sims 4.
