Silent Hill Transmission Event Happening This Week, To Provide Updates on the Horror Series

Konami launched a new website and announced that a Silent Hill Transmission online event is happening on October 19, 2022 at 5PM EST/ 2 PM PT. This event will give the latest updates on the Silent Hill series.

If you go to the new website all you get is the date and nothing else. No one is sure what will be shared this week but rumors have been swirling recently so it wouldn’t be a surprise if it was a reveal of at least a game. One of the most recent reports comes from Journalist JeffGrubb sharing on Twitter back in May 2022 that he indeed heard from multiple sources that a Silent Hill 2 remake is currently in the works as well as a new mainline entry and other projects.

In the same month, screenshots of what is assumed to be a new Silent Hill game was leaked online and was quickly taken down. The leaker confirmed on ResetEra that the copyright claim was made by Konami, making it more likely that the leaked images could be real.

Lastly, Gematsu reported back in September that a title called Silent Hill: The Short message was rated in Korea.

Nothing confirmed but with all of these reports surfacing in this year alone, Konami has been busy and is likely to share what they have planned for the currently dormant horror franchise..

Stay tuned.
