Pokémon Legends Z-A Sells 5.8 Million in First Week Worldwide
/Pokémon Company revealed that the latest Pokémon title, Pokémon Legends Z-A has sold over 5.8 million units in just one week. The press release revealing this information also shared that half of the units sold were the Nintendo Switch 2 version.
Despite the strong launch start, Z-A is actually slightly lower than Pokemon Legends Arceus, as that game launched with 6.5 million units sold worldwide in its first week (thanks, Nintendo Soup).
Set in Lumiose City, Pokémon Legends Z-A is a follow up of 2022’s Pokémon Legends Arceus, which delivers a new take on Pokémon gameplay as it features real-time Pokémon battles and catching. Z-A also introduced day and night cycles, which change the gameplay as during the day you can catch and roam the world, but during the day is when you battle other trainers in the game call Z-A Royale

The Outer Worlds 2 isn’t Obsidian displaying any major advances in game design or unique innovations that would turn heads. This is a game of solid refinement from a studio that believes so deeply in the world they created in 2019. This resulted in a cohesive and entertaining RPG that could very well solidify as one of their best works today.
