PlayStation Plus Free Monthly Games for February 2023 could be these games

Update (2/2/2023): It’s official: Sony announced the Plus Monthly Games for February 2023 are indeed the games mentioned below.

It’s the end of January and that means we are just days away from Sony Interactive Entertainment revealing PlayStation Plus’ Monthly Games offer for February 2023. Leakers have pointed out that next month’s lineup will be Evil Dead: The Game, OlliOlli World, Mafia Definitive Edition, and Destiny 2’s Beyond Light DLC.

The leak comes from Billbil-kun, a known leaker that has been leaking the lineup for PlayStation Plus for a long time now with impressive accuracy.

This, of course, isn’t official, and will update this post once Sony makes the announcement, which is likely coming in a few days since February is just around the corner.

PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for February 2023

  • Destiny 2 Beyond Light PS5/PS4

  • Olli Olli World (PS5/PS4)

  • Evil Dead The Game (PS5/PS4)

  • Mafia Definitive Edition (PS4)

Giving all PS Plus subscribers the Destiny 2 Beyond Light expansion isn’t a big surprise as this is a small effect of Sony acquiring Bungie last year. If you haven’t had the pleasure to explore Europa, you are in for a treat as this icy planet is where Guardians learn the ways to wield the Darkness through the Stasis subclass. It’s not the best expansion as that title is currently given to last year’s The Witch Queen expansion, but Beyond Light is a big win to new players planning to invest more time in the shooter.

As for Evil Dead The Game, this is a good offer as I found this 4v1 to be quite entertaining when I played it on its release month last year. I still stand by saying it’s a fantastic online game that does well at utilizing the source material and would have played more of it if I didn’t have this constant disconnection issue on the PC platform that to this day isn’t resolved for me.

The game is still being updated with new maps and characters as the latest addition to the game is Ruby, a character from Ash vs Evil Dead TV series that is sadly now canceled. It features cross-play, so it’s possible to matchmake with the PC and Xbox community.

The lineup gets even stronger with the addition of Roll7’s skateboard platformer OlliOllie World which is the latest title in the series that was released last year with rave reviews. We then have Mafia Definitive Edition, which is more of a remake of the original Mafia game, and it’s a good recreation of what many say is the best in the series.

These titles are said to be available for download starting this February 7 and will last until March 6.
