This expansion adds a staggering amount of new content where players will be tasks to journey across the sea to a new base of operations called the Elgado Outpost. From there, you’ll investigate new creatures known as the Three Lords, which is inspired by staples of Western horror.

Additional monsters are coming in Sunbreak. The expansion introduces a new monster called the Malzeno, the lupine Fanged Wyvern Lunagaron, Garangolm, and new subspecies such as Blood Orange Bishaten. There will also be returning monsters known from previous titles such as the voltaic Astalos.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will have 3 new amiibo - Malzeno, Palamute in “Canyne Mazeno X”, and Palico in “Felyne Malzeno X”. using these amiibo on your Switch will unlock a special layered armor, says Capcom.

Players who pre-order any version of Sunbreak will receive the “Loyal Dog” and “Striped Cat” layered armor sets for Palico and Palamute companions.
