Latest God of War Trailer Shown at State of Play Focuses on the Story

God of War Ragnarok story trailer shown during PlayStation's September State of Play

The latest God of War Ragnarok story reveals more of the game’s story as we see Kratos and Artreus interact with a variety of characters old and new, giving those excited for the game’s release how much there’s at stake for the father and son duo.

This trailer is a mix of both pre-rendered and actual gameplay, showing the relationship between Kratos and a now older Atreus and the epic journey they’ll go through as this will be the finale of the Norse saga for the God of War franchise.

This is unlikely the last trailer you’ll see before the game’s launch on November 9 but with this much story elements shown, it definitely makes it feel like it’s just around the corner that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to replay the first game for a nice refresher.

Before the story trailer debuted, PlayStation also revealed a limited edition God of War Ragnarok DualSense controller that will be available at the same time as the game. It features a blue and white color scheme with a wolf and bear emblem resting on the controller’s trackpad.
