Indie Game Dungeons of Hinterberg Launches This July on Xbox and PC

Curve Games and developer Microbird announced that their upcoming indie game Dungeons of Hinterberg is set to launch on July 18, 2024, on Xbox Series X|S, PC (windows and Steam), and Xbox Game Pass.
The developers are hosting sign-ups for a playtest run from May 9 to May 16. Those interested in trying out the game during the given dates can register through the game’s Steam product page. Simply head down and you’ll see a Request Access button, right below the ‘Add to your wishlist’ button.

Dungeons of Hinterberg blends hack ‘n’ slash action, puzzle solving and social elements, allowing players to battle monstrous creatures from Alpine myths, explore dungeons, and forge friendships. To celebrate the date announcement, the small team at Microbird is excited to open sign-ups for the playtest and give fans a chance to play the first two in-game days for the very first time!

It’s easy to describe Animal Well as a puzzle-focused Metroidvania eschewing traditional combat, where nearly every room is a puzzle room, but that falls so far short of describing just what this game is and how expertly it defies genre and classification that it feels like a disservice.
