Dragon Ball: The Breakers Set for October Release, Network Test Announced

Bandai Namco announced that the asymmetrical game called Dragon Ball: The Breakers will launch on October 13, 2022 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The Steam version will launch the next day, October 14.

This isn’t a traditional Dragon Ball game as some players will play as one of the seven human beings tasked to defeat a villain, or the Raider role, where you play as the villain with powers equivalent to the big baddies seen in the show, like Frieza, which was featured in the trailer above as the latest Raider character announced for the game. It’s a 7v1 asymmetrical online game where one team needs to rely on teamwork, the other will need to outsmart and use their advantage as a powerful being.

It’s a rather silly concept as, if you know the series, even a hundred humans shouldn’t be able to compete against any of the villains featured in the franchise. But it’s a video game and it's refreshing to see something new come out of the Dragon Ball series.
