Dragon Ball: Breakers Open Beta Starts This Week, Majin Buu and Farmer Revealed

Bandai Namco announced that Dragon Ball: Breakers, a 7v1 asymmetrical action game where normal humans fight Dragon Ball villains, will have an open beta from September 21, 6 PM PDT until September 25, 10 AM PDT. A new trailer was also released revealing villain Majin Buu and survivor Farmer.

The latest trailer shows Majin Buu as the villain in action, though it wasn’t a big surprise that he’s in the game considering he’s in the box art. The real surprise is the newly announced survivor named Farmer. If you know your Dragon Ball, you remember this insignificant character in various arcs of Dragon Ball Z. The funny thing is he walks around with a shotgun during a match, which is probably considered a prop as that’s not going to do much against the likes of Majin Buu.

Together with the reveal of the two characters being part of the game, Bandai revealed that the open beta starts this week from September 21-25. Players can try out this very out-of-the-box concept  either on PS4, Xobx One, Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam.

Players hoping to play as the villain in the game can try out either Frieza or Cell. If you’re into coordinating with other players to bring down the big bad, you can play as the survivor with the OOlong and Bulma skins.

Dragon Ball: Breakers is set to go out on October 14, 2022.
