Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets Perks for March 1 - March 7, 2023

Dead by Daylight’s Shrine of Secrets this week is a little weird. We have Hex: Huntress Lullaby, Beast of Prey, Ace in the Hole, and Alert to consider this week. Here’s a quick detailed rundown of each of the perks offered from March 1 - March 7, 2023

Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets perks for March 1 - March 7, 2023

This section found in the in-game store of Dead by Daylight gives players a chance to unlock perks from Survivors or Killers still unavailable for them, or have not yet earned the highest tier.

To unlock a perk through the Shine of Secrets, you’ll need to spend Iridescent Shards per perk. Tier 1 perks can cost 2,000 shards.

Here’s the description of each perk.

Killer Perks

Hex: Huntress Lullaby (The Huntress) - Survivors receive a 2/4/6 % Regression penalty on Failed Skill for Repair and Healing actions.

Hex: Huntress Lullaby grows in power each time you Hook a Survivor, gaining 1 Token, and affecting Repair and Healing Skill Checks:

  • 1 Token: shortens the time between the Warning sound and the Skill check by -14 %.

  • 2 Tokens: shortens the time between the Warning sound and the Skill check by -28 %.

  • 3 Tokens: shortens the time between the Warning sound and the Skill check by -42 %.

  • 4 Tokens: shortens the time between the Warning sound and the Skill check by -56 %.

Hex effects will only last until the hex totem is cleansed.

Beast of Prey (The Huntress) - Upon gaining Bloodlust, Beast of Prey activates: Killer grants the Undetectable status for as long as Bloodlust is aactive

This perk grants 30/40/50% bonus bloodpoints for actions in the Hunter category.

Survivor Perks

Ace in the Hole (Ace Visconti) - When retrieving an item from a chest, there is a chance an add-on will be attached to it. There’s a 100% c chance for an add-on to be of Very Rare rarity or lower. 10/25/50% chance for a second add-on of uncommon rarity or lower.

Ace in the Hole allows you to keep any add-ons your item has equipped upon escaping.

Alert (Feng Min) - Whenever the killer destroys a pallet or a breakable wall or damages a generator, their aura is revealed to you for 3/4/5 seconds.

Which perks are worth getting this week?

This has got to be the worst lineup of purchasable perks for 2023 as it’s hard to recommend a single one to spend shards on. Killers will have to look away this week as Beast of Prey and Hex: Huntress Lullaby is both from The Huntress, a base killer that you probably have played and already have her perks available. Though, from the two of them, if you had to choose, I’d go for the Hex as it can synergize well with other perks that make repairing generators a pain.

As for Survivors, there’s nothing to be excited about here. Ace in the Hole is something I wouldn’t run personally as it requires you to go out of your way for a few minutes to find and open a chest and hopefully get a useful item that could help in a Trial. Alert might be the better choice to consider as we do live in a gen-kicking meta, so you might get value from this perk with the information it provides you. But again, there are better perks that can do a better job at finding where the killer is.
