Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets Perks for February 8 - February 14, 2023

Dead by Daylight’s Shrine of Secrets has an okay offer this week as we have at least one perk for each side that is worth considering. This week offers the perks Built to Last, Borrowed Time, Zanshin Tactics and Brutal Strength. Here’s a quick detailed rundown of each of the perks offered from February 8 - February 14, 2023.

Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets perks for February 8 - February 14, 2023

This section found in the in-game store of Dead by Daylight gives players the chance to unlock perks from Survivors or Killers still unavailable for them, or have not yet earned the highest tier.

To unlock a perk through the Shine of Secrets, you’ll need to spend Iridescent Shards per perk. Tier 1 perks can cost 2,000 shards.

Here’s the description of each perk.

Killer Perks

Zanshin Tactics (The Oni) - The auras of Breakable Walls, Pallets, and Windows are revealed to you within the 24/28/32 meters.

Brutal Strength (The Trapper) - Increases the speed in which you break Pallets, Breakable Walls, and Generators by 10/15/20%.

Survivor Perks

Built to Last (Felix Richter) - Hiding in a locker for 14/13/12 seconds while carrying a depleted item will replenish its charges to 99%.

Each use of Built to Last reduces this percentage by 33%.

Borrowed Time (Bill Overbeck) - Survivors you unhook will have their Endurance effect extended by 6/8/10 seconds. The Haste effect a Survivor earns when being unhooked will also be extended by 10 seconds.

Which perks are worth getting this week?

This is an okay lineup for Shrine this week, and probably the first time I’ll suggest a basic perk considering the current meta.

Brutal Strength is a perk all killers can earn by simply playing The Trapper, and while increasing your kicking speed may sound simple, it’s really effective. It’s so good that I would even suggest new players to spend shards just to get it in all of your Killers Bloodwebs.

Zanshin Tactics is a perk that works best to those that are Killer veterans as knowing ahead of time if the Survivor you are chasing is bringing you to a strong tile can allow you to gauge if it’s worth continuing the chase or if you need to disengage and go somewhere else.

As for Survivors, Built to Last is actually a strong perk as it keeps your item in play for longer, it’s also feels good to have this perk if you decide to use stronger add-ons.

Finally, Borrowed Time, a perk that has become obsolete as it’s original design is now part of the Survivors base kit. In today’s meta, the perk just prolongs the benefits you get when you are unhooked. It’s still pretty useful as it can catch Killers tunneling by waiting out the Endurance buff, and the longer Haste is a big plus. You just don’t see it in higher play as it’s more beneficial to use the slot for other perks.
