Expired Borderlands 4 Shift Codes
Here are the older codes that no longer work. We keep this list so you don’t waste time trying them.
No codes have expired yet. A few are close to expiration, so redeem them quickly while they still work.
How to Redeem Shift Codes in Borderlands 4
There are two ways to redeem these Shift codes in Borderlands 4.
Redeeming Codes In-Game
The most common way is to use the in-game shift code redeeming feature, which is available on the game menu.
Simply select “Shift” on the list of options as this will open a new window on PC that will bring you to the Shift section, where you can log in to your Shift account. Head to ‘Rewards’ and simply input the codes you find above.
Redeeming via the Official Shift Website
If you’re having trouble accessing the Shift page through your game, you can also redeem these codes through the official Shift website.
Naturally, if this is your first time, you’ll need to set up a Shift account. Do that, link your account to the platform you’re currently playing Borderlands 4, and once you’re done and logged in, head to the ‘Reward’ tab on the left menu. Place the code, and you’re good to go.
When you redeem a code, the Golden Key or any reward attached to the code will go straight to your Borderlands 4 game
What Do You Get From Borderlands 4 Shift Codes?
Shift codes are the developers’ way of giving in-game rewards to their players, primarily games within the Borderlands series. Most Borderlands 4 Shift codes grant Golden Keys, which you can spend to unlock special loot chests. Occasionally, you’ll also get cosmetics or unique rewards.
Important Note: loot from Golden Keys always scales to your character’s level, so you may want to save them for later. Plan accordingly.
Borderlands 4 Shift Code FAQ
Have any more questions on how Shift codes work? I’ll try to answer the most commonly asked questions.
Do Shift codes work across all platforms?
From what we are seeing, all Borderlands 4 codes are redeemable across PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. If platform-specific codes appear, we’ll note them.
Can you use old codes from Borderlands 3?
Nope, Borderlands 3 codes won’t work in Borderlands 4., but future codes may be for all other games, even Wonderlands. If that happens, we’ll specify once a code like that enters our list.
How often are new codes released?
This is hard to gauge as there’s no fixed schedule. Most of the time, Shift codes are given out when celebrating something specific for the series. In the case of Borderlands 4, the first batch of codes was mainly to celebrate the new game’s launch.
In the past, we’ve seen codes being randomly given, even during events where the developer team is present. Even Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford is known to give out keys for no apparent reason.
