Black Adam and Gremlin’s Stripe to join MultiVersus roster

Warner Bros. Games and Developer Player First Games announced that DC’s Black Adam and Gremlin’s Stripe will be coming to their platform fighting game MultiVersus as part of the game’s Season 1 of content. The first season will also include the delayed Rick and Morty character.

For the characters Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith from the Rick and Morty show, these characters will launch at separate dates. Morty will join the roster first on August 23, 2022 while Rick will join the game sometime during Season 1. This goes for both Black Adam and Stripe, as there’s no exact date when these characters will be available.

Season 1 has already begun and the game will also feature a new free-to-play rotation feature, which allows players to have access to characters they have not yet unlocked. Similar to other free-to-play games, this new rotation of characters will be available for a limited time and will change every two weeks. When Season 1 begins, all players will have access to Arya, Batman, LeBron James, and Steven Universe. They will be available from now until August 30.

A patch for the start of Season 1 was just implemented and you can see the various balance changes and additions to the game in the official patch notes. Another patch is planned for the launch of season 1 and is expected to hit servers sometime next week.

MultiVersus is still going strong as according to SteamDB, the game can still reach a 24-hour peak of over 70,000 concurrent players on Steam. This is just Steam as the game is available on Epic Games Store and other consoles, which features crossplay and cross-platform.

This also doesn’t conclude the Asian market as the platform fighter is still not available in Asia countries like the Philippines and Japan even during the launch of Season 1.
