E3 2011: The Witcher 2 heading to the Xbox 360

The Witcher 2 is no longer exclusive to PC. CD Projekt just revealed that The Witcher 2 is heading to the Xbox 360. Finally, more people will get to experience this great game. With it being a PC exclusive on release and a very demanding game in terms of spec, people couldn't get The Witcher 2. A lot of console gamers were praying for a console release, well there ya go, your prayers have been answered.  Now that the console version is happening, can we ask for the Witcher 1 port too while their at it?

IGN interviewed John Mamais, executive producer at CD Projekt Red after the announcement to get more information about the console version.

The interview provided good information about this console port. The Witcher 2 just might be one of the best looking games out there and porting this massive game to the console will take time. They haven't announced a release date for the Xbox version but is aiming for an end of the year release. They won't be rushing this project since they aim to make the Xbox 360 version in par with the PC version in terms of graphics and performance.

Future DLC for the Witcher 2 will be included in the console version and any new cut scenes or content created for the 360 version will also be implemented for the PC all for free.

The Witcher 2's feel and play would fit perfectly in a 360 controller. It was planned to get a console version but they wanted to stay loyal to the PC community by focusing on the PC version first. it's understandable and this is great news indeed. I'm currently on Act 2 in The Witcher 2 and loving every minute of the game. So there, Xbox 360 owners, look out for the console version of The Witcher 2: assassin of Kings either next year or the end of 2011.

E3 2011: Tomb Raider(2011) Cinematic trailer

Yes, Tomb Raider is back and is getting the reboot treatment. It has been announced a few months back and Square Enix revealed some screen shots showing young and messed up Lara Croft on one of her first adventures. To start off with E3 reveals, they have released a Cinematic Trailer of the new Tomb Raider and I honestly can't wait. Throw everything you knew about how Tomb raider plays because this one will be completely different.

They are going for a more realistic feel for the reboot. Lara Croft is 21 and is still working her way up to becoming the Lara Croft we know so well from past games. The Cinematic Trailer was great and I like the direction their taking. It's a good change and a reboot might be a good choice to bring back the Tomb Raider series.

More games coming to HD consoles (thank you Konami!)

Silent Hill HD? Metal Gear HD? Zone of the fucking Enders HD? Now I know that the PS2-to-PS3-HD tactic can be looked at an easy money making strategy but c'mon. If you haven't experienced any of these great Konami titles, I will hunt you down.

Zone of the Enders is coming back in glorious HD format! Both Zone of the Enders games are being remastered in HD and is hitting the PlayStation 3 AND Xbox 360. Zone of the Enders will be out in 2012.

As for the Metal Gear Solid HD collection, it will include Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The MGS collection will be out this November. This will also hit the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. No love for Portable Ops huh? Oh well.

Konami states that these HD version isn't an emulator. It's optimized and rebuilt specifically for the PS3 and Xbox 360. There's a new user interface, redrawn high-res 2D art, new trophies and Achievements and improved audio quality.

Additionally, both collections will have a new feature called "Transfarring." Yes, it's really spelled that way. Transfarring will allow PlayStation 3 and PSP owners to share one save that works between the two versions of Peace Walker. So far that will be the only game that works with Transfarring. The feature is also in the Zone of the Enders HD collection but Konami wouldn't detail why exactly. Possible PSP or NGP releases coming?

The Silent Hill HD collection will contain Silent Hill 2 and 3, no solid release date specified. C'mon, you couldn't fit the blocky Silent Hill 1 in there or even Shattered Memories? What gives Konami? (I still love you though)

Batman: Arkham City - Catwoman Trailer

Batman: Arkham Asylum was an amazing Batman game(best one even) and I'm sure all of you can't wait to control batman again but this time going around Gotham City. Arkham City will be bigger and better than the first and we also get to control Catwoman in some parts of the game.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzXqNZEL5Fc&feature=player_embedded]

Arkham City will be around 40 hours long, 25 hours for the main story and 15 side quests and collectable to gather. Compared to Arkham Asylum, yes it's definitely huge and Catwoman just might be the perfect ice breaker to give something different during this lengthy game. They say Catwoman is only about 10% of the game and i think thats just enough.

Batman: Arkham City will be out on PS3 Xbox 360 and PC on Oct 18.

F.E.A.R 3's multiplayer modes

Anybody still excited for this? well they just released a new trailer giving us a peek on a specific mode in F.E.A.R 3's multiplayer, Soul Survivor. Now that each mode has a trailer explaining the objectives, i think now is a perfect time to gather everything multiplayer has to offer.

Soul Survivor - In Soul Survivor, Alma corrupts a member of the F.E.A.R squad and turns him into a ghost, who has to take down the surviving player.

Contractions - This is a co-op mode, Think Left 4 Dead or COD black Ops zombie. As a F.E.A.R. squad waiting for extraction, four players will have to survive against the enemies unleashed with each contraction Alma has.

Soul King - Players will be ghosts in this game mode, they will have to posses enemies and steal souls earned by the other players. Reminds me of Halo Reach's skull collecting game mode

F**cking Run - This has to be the best. Not only does it look fun since your always on the move, but because the name is just epic. F**cking run!!

I've lost faith in F.E.A.R's single player since the second game was a fail in my eyes. With a new developer,Day 1 Studios, running the shots now, you never know, it might turn out to be a good game. Multiplayer seems fun, but We'll just have to wait and see.

It was meant to be released on May but pushed back to June, now the game will be released on June 21 for Playstation 3, PC, and Xbox 360.
