The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition on Xbox 360 Dated

The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition CD Projekt just announced a release date for the console edition of The Witcher 2. It will be out on April 17, 2012 and will be the Enhanced Edition of the game. The Enhanced Edition will included four hours worth of additional content plus DLC already released in the PC version. Controls have been tweaked for console use , new intro-cinematics, and new end-game cinematics ( based on your choices in the game). The new intro cinematic is out for our viewing pleasure and makes me want to reinstall and play this epic RPG all over again.

It's a pretty looking game, pretty enough for people to call it the best looking game on the Xbox 360. The Enhanced Edition will cost $60 while the Dark Edition will cost $80. The eighty dollar Collector's Edition of the game will have making of the game discs, a 200-page art book, a replica of the Wolf's Head Medallion, and a bunch of stickers. The quest guide and world map will be included in the Enhanced and Dark Editions of the game.

I played the game last year and its one of the best of 2011. Xbox 360 owners, give this title a shot, you won't regret it.

E3 2011: The Witcher 2 heading to the Xbox 360

The Witcher 2 is no longer exclusive to PC. CD Projekt just revealed that The Witcher 2 is heading to the Xbox 360. Finally, more people will get to experience this great game. With it being a PC exclusive on release and a very demanding game in terms of spec, people couldn't get The Witcher 2. A lot of console gamers were praying for a console release, well there ya go, your prayers have been answered.  Now that the console version is happening, can we ask for the Witcher 1 port too while their at it?

IGN interviewed John Mamais, executive producer at CD Projekt Red after the announcement to get more information about the console version.

The interview provided good information about this console port. The Witcher 2 just might be one of the best looking games out there and porting this massive game to the console will take time. They haven't announced a release date for the Xbox version but is aiming for an end of the year release. They won't be rushing this project since they aim to make the Xbox 360 version in par with the PC version in terms of graphics and performance.

Future DLC for the Witcher 2 will be included in the console version and any new cut scenes or content created for the 360 version will also be implemented for the PC all for free.

The Witcher 2's feel and play would fit perfectly in a 360 controller. It was planned to get a console version but they wanted to stay loyal to the PC community by focusing on the PC version first. it's understandable and this is great news indeed. I'm currently on Act 2 in The Witcher 2 and loving every minute of the game. So there, Xbox 360 owners, look out for the console version of The Witcher 2: assassin of Kings either next year or the end of 2011.

Witcher 2 system requirements

The Witcher 2 is a month away and if you're a fan like me you can't wait to get your hands on this long-awaited sequel. Since it's close by i think it's only best to check if your current PC can take it.

The Witcher 2 System Requirements:

Miminum:

• OS: Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista SP2 / Windows 7 (32/64-bit) • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 Ghz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ • Memory: 1 GB Windows XP / 2 GB Windows Vista and Windows 7 • Video Card: 512 MB RAM, supporting Pixel Shader 3.0 (Nvidia GeForce 8800 or ATI Radeon HD3850)

Recommended:

• OS: Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista SP2 / Windows 7 (32/64-bit) • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad or AMD Phenom X4 • Memory: 3 GB Windows XP / 4 GB Windows Vista and Windows 7 • Video Card: 1 GB RAM, supporting Pixel Shader 3.0 (Nvidia GeForce GTX260 or ATI Radeon

The system requirements isn't that heavy which is a surprise since the game looks amazing. If you can run at least Bulletstorm with no problems you should be fine. I also added some latest screenshots of Witcher 2 for you guys to check out.

The first Witcher released in 2007 and was a decent RPG.  It had a unique gameplay, a lengthy story and surprisingly fun overall. There is different fighting styles that The Witcher switches from depending on what enemy he's facing. He carries two different kinds of swords. A steel sword used for dealing with humans and a Silver Sword which is told to be the most affective against most monsters.

There's a lot of tactics involved in the game using the right tool or style to best your opponent. It was very buggy but was soon fixed  after numerous patches. I'd highly recommend the first game especially if your interested at The Witcher 2.

The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings will be released on May 17 for the PC.
