Game's out this week - Asura's Wrath, Syndicate

Asura's Wrath Two games are out this week in the Philippines, and on time with the rest of the world too. The over the top Dragon Ball-ish game called Asura's Wrath and Syndicate; a remake of the classic game that was one a real-time tactical game now turned into a typical FPS. If these games are up your alley, go ahead and check your favorite game store. Reviews are also out so have a look-see to what critics have to say.

Asura's Wrath

Asura's Wrath

I've tried the demo and got the impression that your going to spend most of your time watching that playing. With all the reviews I've been reading, that seems to be the case with Asura's Wrath. The game looks amazing, but the lack of content is shying me away from this title. Some local stores are pricing the game at P 1,890 for both Xbox 360 and PS3. take note that this game only needs around 6 hours to beat from what I'm reading and might have weak replay value.

New Syndicate game

Syndicate

Yet another FPS title. I also got the chance to try the demo but it was only for the coop part of the game. Even  with all the progression and upgrades given, the coop came out dull for me. You really only have 9 stages to make use of all those upgrades. The single player is definitely the selling point in the game, with coop just adding extra meat to the title. If you like the cyber punk setting, you might get a trip on this game all about corporate espionage and whatnot. Plus you get the ability to hack into someones brain and force him to commit suicide, that should be fun. The game is being priced here in the Philippines for around php 1,995 for the PS3 and  Xbox 360 with the PC being cheaper at php 1,295.

New Far Cry 3 video showing new gameplay

Far Cry 3 After the release of a new trailer for Far Cry 3, more gameplay footage shows up. The video is around 5 minutes long and gives you an idea on what a normal mission would look like. You know, you against tons of psycho's, a bit of rappelling, and more shooting right after.

While the new trailer got me all hyped for the third installment, this gameplay video leaves me confused on whats new to the table when it releases this year. But from the looks of it, the core concept in Far Cry 3 seems to be just like the last game, an open world sandbox setting. The game has some fancy stealth mechanic and a leveling system that makes me curious on what you get to improve on.

My only hope is that as you head from mission to mission, going through the world won't come out as a bore. I wasn't pleased with how the second one turned out, but the setting and antagonist of the game gives me hope that this is a game worth any gamer's attention.

Assassin's Creed III announced and dated

Assassin's Creed logo

Ubisoft officially announced Assassin's Creed III and will be released on October 30, 2012. It's no surprise that yet another Assassin's Creed title is on the way, but what's interesting is that this title has been in production for three years now. It was revealed during an ongoing conference call where Ubisoft chief Yves Guillemot made the announcement.

If Assassin's Creed III has indeed been in production for three years, I'm guessing they will be bringing something completely new to the table.

No further details yet, but rumors suggest the setting will be during the American Revolution.

Assassin's Creed III will be out for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and possibly the Wii U.

New Farcry 3 trailer to get you all hyped up

Farcry 3 Since it's reveal in last year's E3, Farcry 3 has been silent ever since. Well it showed up again with a new trailer that just got me all hyped up for the third installment. No gameplay footage, but it's one damn good trailer.

The trailer also reveals the game's release date. If your excited as I am, mark this date - September 4, 2012. Farcry 3 will be out on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Want to see the gameplay? check out the demo shown at E3. I had to watch it again myself thanks to the hype.
