Street Fighter 6 announced by Capcom

Update 1: The countdown timer has finally ended and it was indeed for the Street Fighter 6 reveal. You can have a look at the website yourself now but unfortunately, no other information was given.

To conclude Street Fighter V’s Capcom Pro Tour 2021, Capcom officially announces Street Fighter 6 with a brief teaser of Ryu about to fight an unknown fighter, but fans are quickly pointing out that it could be Luke, the new and last character introduced in Street Fighter V.

Have a look at the tease below.

After the last match concluded, we were given a tease for the Capcom Fighting Collection that composed of 10 classic fighting games that comes with new features such as online play with rollback netcode. Games such as all Darkstalkers games, Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix, Super Puzzle FIghter II Turbo, and more will be featured in the collection.

For a second there, I thought the collection was all Capcom had planned for Street Fighter V’s final event but it quickly switched to the Street Fighter 6 teaser you see above.

No information was given after the reveal, but Capcom did tweet that more news about the new game will come in Summer 2022. it’s been teased even before the release of the last character to join the Street Fighter V roster. The Capcom countdown timer, is still going and we’ll update this post if the website provides more information on Street Fighter 6 or if it’s for something entirely different.
