REV Major, the biggest fighting game multi-tournament event in the Philippines is happening this weekend at The Tent, Solaire Resort & Casino on September 28 to 29, 2019. This is the event’s 3rd year and it’s set to host 12 different fighting game tournaments.

The games featured in REV Major 2019 are Street Fighter V, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late[st], King of Fighters XIV, Mortal Kombat 11, Samurai Shodown, Soul Calibur VI, and last but not least, Tekken 7.

Tekken 7, just like last year, will be the main attraction as the REV Major Tekken 7 tournament is considered a Master Event in this year’s Tekken World Tour, marking it as the second-highest tournament type available awarding 300 points to the player who wins the whole thing.

300 points for one tournament is no joke for players aiming to qualify for the Tekken World Tour, which invites only the top 12 players in the World Tour standings, making this weekend a hotspot for top Tekken players from around the world to gather and compete. The tournament is so big, event organizers have confirmed that Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada will be gracing players and spectators with his presence.

REV Major is also a big deal for Dragon Ball FighterZ players and fans as their tournament will be part of the DBFZ World Tour. It’s considered a Tenkaichi event, which means the winner will earn 300 points for the DBFZ World Tour.

2019’s REV Major — an event organized by Playbook Esports in partnership with Gariath Concepts — is considered their biggest event yet and is free to all spectators hoping to watch the best players in their respective games duke it out to win it all.

REV Major 2019 is happening this weekend, September 28-29. The organizers have been active lately in updating fans (Harada update above) on who’s attending the event, so check out their Facebook, Twitter, or official website for the latest as we get closer to the weekend.
