Rainbow Six Siege M.U.T.E Protocol Event Is Back With a Unique Game Mode

Ubisoft’s competitive shooter Rainbow Six Siege is now live with the new version of the M.U.T.E Protocol event that’s packed with new cosmetics and a new game mode called Arms Race.
Rainbow Six Siege 2022 M.U.T.E Protocol Event
The event brings Arms race, a game mode where players upgrade their weapon tier for killing players. If you die, you go down a weapon tier, and the whole goal is to have players reach the highest weapon tier, which is a golden hammer, capable of smashing the opposing team’s shield that’s protecting a large brain. Based on the trailer above, the upgrading and regressing through the weapon tiers are instant, as a death or a kill will result in a different weapon each time. Respawns are active, so it’s Team Deathmatch with a unique spin.
For cosmetics, a new collection is available and is designed around a sci-fi futuristic theme similar to the last M.U.T.E Protocol event. The event also introduces the Merging Process Bundle, containing a weapon skin, a universal attachment skin, charm, and Operator Card background.
If you missed the cosmetics from the first M.U.T.E Protocl event in 2020, all of its skins are back in the store. Just like previous events, The game will have limited Flesh and Metal packs that can either be purchased with in-game currency or earned through special event challenges in the game.
The 2022 M.U.T.E Protocol event will be live from now until August 23, 2022.
