Filipino-made FPS Project Xandata Enters Season 1 on July 27

Secret 6, a studio based in the Philippines, announced that season 1 of their free-to-play 3v3 online FPS game Project Xandata is going live on July 27, and with it comes new content such as a new map, new abilities for each class, and new cosmetics that can be earned through the new battle pass. The game is currently available through Steam’s Early Access program.

Here’s a quick rundown of what’s being added to the game for season 1.

New Map: Fastlane

Introducing Fastlane, a city transportation hub in the bustling Lightning District filled with bright neon lights, advertisements, food stalls, and futuristic vehicles, a veritable futuristic hotspot turned Xandat battleground.

A more compact and fast-paced map, Fastlane features two near-symmetrical main areas separated by a two-floor train station with multiple ways to access it. The closely-packed nature of the map will see players getting into skirmishes and shootouts more often, but with the different paths and elevations, they’ll never run out of ways to flank and fight for objectives.

The map is heavily inspired by various Philippine tastes. Players with a keen eye can even spot some very interesting references, so long as they keep another eye out for any possible enemies looking to gank them. Fastlane will be bringing in the fast-paced, frenzied firefight flow when it becomes available in Early Access Season 1.

New Skills For All Classes

  • Marksman - Hard Light Stinger

    • Fires three hard light bullets in a tight, shotgun-like spread that lets you take care of those pesky Xandats that get in your comfort zone.

    • Additionally, the Stinger deals more damage the emptier your current weapon’s magazine is. Running out of ammo is a death sentence –for your enemies, that is.

  • Agent - Feign Death

    • Activate a buff that triggers when you receive enough damage. Once activated, you go into perfect invisibility for a short moment, leaving behind a fake corpse to deceive your opponents for a quick getaway, or to make them turn their backs for the perfect backstab.

    • Feign Death also grants a buff that allows players to use their Special Melee ability for free twice without cooldowns, for an even deadlier edge

  • Juggernaut - Mini Frags

    • Fire off a small grenade that bounces off walls and surfaces, dealing damage and knockback to enemies it hits, or enemies that walk over it.

    • The miniature bombs can also be used for “grenade jumps,” giving Juggernauts a brand new mobility option

This isn’t the first time Project Xandata was updated with new abilities as the mid-season patch introduced three neutral skills to the game as well as well as implementing a few bug fixes and gameplay changes during Season 0.

Season 1’s Prestige Pass, Project Xandata’s take on the traditional battle pass system we normally see in games nowadays, will be packed with new armor and weapon skins, emotes, name plates, and more. To get the most out of the pass, it will cost 630 X-Diamonds, which is equivalent to ₱500. The in-game online store of Project Xandata will be updated with new cosmetic items. Project Xandata hit Early Access back in March.
