Far Cry 6 Lost Between Worlds DLC Launches in December, Free Trial and New Game+ Update Now Live

Ubisoft announced that Far Cry 6 is not only getting new sci-fi DLC called “Lost Between Worlds” on December 6 but the base game itself will have a free trial allowing those interested in trying out the latest entry in the open world series to try out the beginning hours of the game. Far Cry 6 was also added with a New Game+ mode and feature to assist completionists. 

According to the new DLC’s description, it says players will “Conquer life-or-death trials in this all-new Dani Rojas story. ‘Lost Between Worlds’ is a rich, action-packed gauntlet with deadly crystal enemies, multiple player paths, all-new lore, and a wide variety of unique gameplay challenges.”

Players can expect 15 challenging trials called Rifts in this DLC, facing otherworldly beings called Shardfaces. Completing each mission will reward players with new powerful gear which you can bring back to Yara to continue exploring the rest of the game’s open world.

This new DLC, this is not included in the game’s season pass, which contains DLC featuring the series' past antagonists Joseph Seed of Far Cry 5, Pagan Min of Far Cry 4, and Vaas of Far Cry 3. The Lost Between Worlds DLC will cost $19.99.

New Game+ was added to Far Cry 6 through the game’s sixth Title Update, allowing players to go through the campaign all over again but this time with all the endgame gear, weapons you’ve unlocked. The latest update also introduces a Completionist Aid feature, which simply assists players with “Yara’s hidden secrets”. 

Ubisoft also announced that they will be working on Audible to fill in the gaps in Far Cry 6’s story through a six-episode audio series covering the events leading up to Far Cry 6. This series will feature Giancarlo Esposito reprising his role as Antón Castillo. The audio series is expect to launch sometime in 2023.
