Epic Games Store Now Displays Game Prices In Philippine Peso
/ Carlos HernandezThanks to a silent update last week, Epic Games Store now displays the prices of all games on sale in the online store in Philippine pesos, making it easier for players in the Philippines opting to purchase a game on the platform.
Regional pricing isn’t new to the Epic Games Store as it currently accepts 29 currencies based on their FAQ. Countries that doesn’t display their local currency will see the prices of the games on sale in US dollars. This was the case for those in the Philippines since the Epic Games Store launched in December of 2018.
There wasn’t any big public announcement to the update as it was a silent site update which launched last week, on April 21, 2021. I noticed it when I turned on my Epic Games Store account.
According to the Epic Games Store roadmap, which is a Trello board detailing the recently launched and upcoming features coming to the Epic Games Store, these are the added currencies the platform now supports.
Costa Rica CRC (Costa Rican Colon)
Uruguay UYU (Uruguayan Peso)
Hong Kong HKD (Hong Kong Dollar)
Indonesia IDR (Indonesian Rupiah)
Malaysia MYR (Malaysian Ringgit)
Philippines PHP (Philippine Peso)
Singapore SGD (Singapore Dollar)
Thailand THB (Thai Baht)
Vietnam VND (Vietnamese Dong)
Kazakhstan KZT(Kazakhstani tenge)
Qatar QAR (Qatari Riyal)

This makes the Epic Games Store more accessible to players in these countries as the hassle of converting from US dollar to their local currency is finally over.

It’s easy to describe Animal Well as a puzzle-focused Metroidvania eschewing traditional combat, where nearly every room is a puzzle room, but that falls so far short of describing just what this game is and how expertly it defies genre and classification that it feels like a disservice. Animal Well is a paragon of the art form, a game that simply must be experienced.
