EA and Koei Tecmo To Reveal a Game Called Wild Hearts This Week

[UPDATE 9/29/2022]: reveal trailer now live (found below) together with new some screenshots of the game. The game will come out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Origin on February 17, 2023. It’ll be priced for $69.99.
Koei Tecmo’s Omega Force studio announced that their next game is Wild Hearts, which is said to be their next take on the Monster Hunter formula. The game’s first trailer will debut this week, September 28. The new title will be under EA’s EA Originals program and is being called “the next great hunting game”.
The reveal trailer for Wild Hearts is set to debut on September 28, 10 AM EST/ 10 PM GMT+8. Based on the description of the trailer, the game will feature a fantasy world inspired by feudal Japan. The studio working on Wild Hearts is Omega Force, the team known for their work on the Dynasty Warriors series.
Wild Hearts being part of the EA Originals program is a weird announcement considering the program is meant to support indie titles, so Omega Force doesn’t necessarily fit the bill since it’s part of Koei Tecmo.
This isn’t Omega Force’s first rodeo on the subgenre as they did work on the Toukiden series, another action hunting game inspired by the Monster Hunter series. We’ll see soon enough what they have in store for us as we’ll update this post as more details come to light once the reveal trailer becomes available.
