Dragon’s Dogma 2 Confirmed and Officially in the Works

During a livestream celebrating Dragon’s Dogma 10 years, Capcom confirmed that production of Dragon’s Dogma 2 has begun.

Dragon’s Dogma director Hideaki Itsuno revealed a second game is in the works and their team will be using Capcom’s RE Engine. No footage was released as the livestream event mostly consisted of Itsuno sharing his history that lead to him working on Dragon’s Dogma, and his team’s inspirations of certain aspects of the game. The livestream ended with the developers standing up to officially announce Dragon’s Dogma 2. "Everyone in the development team is hard at work creating a game that we hope you will enjoy. Please look forward to it!"  said Itsuno after he removed his hoodie to reveal the game’s logo.

No other details were provided beyond the livestream and no release date or platforms were announced.

Dragon’s Dogma was first released way back in 2012 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. An enhanced version calle Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen followed a year later.
